New company, new look
As of October 10, I have a new company -- ngGrid. It's focussed on bringing the ever expanding FPGA sector to the finance industry. I'll no doubt be blogging about this stuff more often.
I've had various discussions about the fact that it's called next generation grid - particularly, since an FPGA is not a grid. I chose the name based on the fact that while not a grid, FPGAs can be used to solve some of the same problems -- the performance for (certain) financial calculations is quite staggering.
